A Happy Place: Studio Tour

ree

Welcome to my studio!

This tiny space in my attic is the place where I spend many happy hours painting, creating, crafting, and enjoying quiet moments away from the hubbub of the rest of the house, and I'm so thrilled to be here.

This is a long view of the area that's dedicated to just creating, which is illuminated by a softbox extended on boom handle.

The single window at the side of the room is too far away to lend its light, so the softbox is a good light source for brightening up the shadows.

A few one-inch square canvases my seven five-year-old and I painted together in our free time. These squares come in a stack at Micheals for six dollars in a pack or at Walmart for ninety-seven cents each. They are super handy for the little ones to experiment and play with instead of a bigger-sized canvas.

The very beginning. I had joyfully bought this desk from Walmart to house my Mac computer on, not realizing it would be too heavy and would sink in the middle of the desk. The chair is antique and given to us by a neighbor who was aged, had lost his wife, and was moving to North Carolina to live with his brother. It's solid and I love it!

This is how happy being in this space makes me. I can't hide my joy.

Thanks for coming behind the scenes with me. I liked sharing inside my studio with you so much I will share more photos with you in a few weeks.

Be blessed
