Do Something Good - for You

There's such joy in doing good things for yourself that you should do as many good things as you can and as often as you can. It will make you happy, elevate your sense of self and feelings of wellbeing.
I didn't always feel this way or follow this way of thinking because there's a belief that it's better to give than to receive, and to focus on yourself too much is an act of pure selfishness. But it's really when you take time for yourself that you come into some of the most wonderful moments that you'll ever dare to imagine.
This past January, instead of making resolutions that for sure would not be kept - at all. The idea was to do something good for me. So here I am sharpening my drawing skills and feeling really grateful that I'm in the midst of a group of wonderful people who are super talented and helpful and are an absolute joy to be around.

Inspiration for the drawing. It's from a series of bouquets I bought each Friday over the past year to add freshness and delight to the living room.
